
If I run the same component test for the AC adapter, the screen only shows the message "AC adapter testing in progress.", but it never does anything else. This got me to thinking and I ran HP's PC Diagnostics (Windows) and it always seems to stop on the Battery Check at 10% (and after a while, the computer often freezes (no BSOD.)) If I run a component test for the battery, it does the same and stops at 10%. I had made some changes to their power profile and they said it helped, but I don't know how much. One of the things that they complained about previously was that the battery didn't last very long. If I run a Stress Test utility, the crash usually happens pretty quickly.
